William has been involved in art his entire life. His adult artwork has ranged from seascapes and landscapes, particularly New England scenes, to portraits of homes and murals. One of his primary primary influences was his uncle, accomplished marine artist Michael Keane. Other primary influences on his art have been artists from the Hudson River School of the mid 19th century, like Frederic Edwin Church, Thomas Moran, and Albert Beirstadt.

William has studied at Mass College of Art in Boston, and is a member of the Duxbury Art Association, often contributing to the yearly juried shows. He has been represented by the Kyle Studio Gallery in Falmouth, MA as well as the Arnold Art Gallery in Newport, RI.

Currently William sells largely through private commissions. Oils are the artist’s choice for medium, while using acrylics on the murals. Bill is also a father, husband, south shore Massachusetts local, active writer, and co-founder of Zujava.

Through his artwork, William tries to inspire, relax, and captivate the viewer, focusing on the everyday surroundings, transforming them into something that will introduce the beholder to a greater appreciation for the complexities of nature and life.
